How to add multiple links to Instagram bio without breaking tracking

Instagram now supports multiple profile links, but messy setup can still break routing and campaign reporting. Use this operational checklist to publish cleanly and keep attribution data trustworthy.

Setup sequence

1. Build routing-safe destination URLs

Prepare each page to open cleanly on mobile web and app fallback paths. Remove redirect loops and enforce HTTPS before adding links in Instagram.

2. Standardize UTM tags by destination intent

Apply a consistent naming model (source, medium, campaign) across all bio links so analytics can separate newsletter, store, and lead-gen clicks.

3. Add links in Instagram profile settings

In Edit Profile, add each URL and label it clearly for user intent. Save and reopen your profile in-app to confirm all links render.

4. QA every link from real devices

Tap each link from Instagram on iOS and Android. Confirm final destination, fallback behavior, and UTM persistence before announcing the update.

Pre-publish QA minimum

  • Tap every bio link once on iOS and Android from the Instagram app.
  • Confirm final URL correctness and no dropped UTM parameters.
  • Check click visibility in analytics for each destination path.
  • Keep editable short links ready for same-day campaign rollback.
