How to add a link to your YouTube bio without breaking tracking

If you are updating a YouTube profile link for campaigns, creator funnels, or launches, this checklist helps you publish quickly while keeping routing and attribution data intact.

Setup sequence

Follow this order to avoid broken profile links and lost campaign attribution.

1. Prepare the destination URL

Use a final page URL that you control. If you run campaigns, append UTM tags and test the destination before adding it to your profile.

2. Open YouTube profile customization

In YouTube Studio, open channel customization and add the link in your profile/link section. Use a clear label users can recognize instantly.

3. Publish and verify clickability

Check your channel as a viewer on desktop and mobile. Confirm the link is visible, tappable, and opens the intended URL without redirect errors.

4. Run attribution QA

Open the final destination and confirm `utm_source`, `utm_medium`, and `utm_campaign` remain present after redirects.
