What happens when someone opens a smart link?

With your app and domain configured for Universal Links or Android App Links, supported links can open directly in the installed app. When the app is unavailable, your link uses the store or web fallback you have chosen. Desktop visitors go to your website. Behavior also depends on the browser and device settings.

Do I need to install an SDK?

You can create short links, QR codes, and web redirects without an SDK. Opening native app content requires your app to support Universal Links or Android App Links and handle the destination path. Our SDKs help with app-side link handling, deferred deep linking, and events.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Plans with custom domains let you connect a branded hostname and use your own link paths. li-nk.me hosts the Apple and Android association files for that domain. See pricing for domain allowances.

Can I manage more than one app?

Yes. Organize your apps into projects, keep development, staging, and production separate, and assign paths such as /shop and /staff to different app targets within an environment.
